5TH ANNUAL PAPER SHREDDING DAY Saturday, June 5th Our Annual Paper Shredding Day grows popular every year! This year saw a steady flow of local residents bringing their "shreddables" to be minced by our mobile shredder truck, along with a donation to our local food bank. Mother Nature cooperated and it was blue skies and sunshine for this year's uber-successful Shredder Day! Over 15,000 people attended this year's event and enjoyed local entertainment, dining experiences and a brewskie or 2 at one of 3 beer gardens. Again Roger sponsored transportation to and from the Peachland Village Mall to the car show grounds by supplying 2 school buses raising over $1,000 for the Peachland Food Bank! Sunday, September 20th, 2009 Our annual event is held in conjunction with the Regional District, Peachland Sportsmen Association to celebrate B.C. Fisheries and Rivers Awareness Week. |  | | | |  | A beautiful afternoon was spent at Hardy Falls for the 4th year in a row. We cooked up 18 dozen hot dogs, courtesy of Save-On Foods in Westbank, for hungry "salmon-gazers" and nature enthusiasts. (This year pan glazed onions were added to the menu!) Again we asked for donations for our local Food Bank and raised $200 and a generous supply of non-perishable food items. Our "Kount the Kokanne Kolouring Kontest" winner was, Jed Prentice, aged 9.
