4th ANNUAL "KOUNT THE KOKANEE"...
Sunday, September 20th, 2009 Our annual event is held in conjunction with the Regional District, Peachland Sportsmen Association to celebrate B.C. Fisheries and Rivers Awareness Week. |  |  | A beautiful afternoon was spent at Hardy Falls for the 4th year in a row. We cooked up 18 dozen hot dogs, courtesy of Save-On Foods in Westbank, for hungry "salmon-gazers" and nature enthusiasts. (This year pan glazed onions were added to the menu!) Again we asked for donations for our local Food Bank and raised $200 and a generous supply of non-perishable food items. Our newest team member, baby Max, joined us with Mom, Amy. Our "Kount the Kokanne Kolouring Kontest" winner was, Jed Prentice, aged 9. | | 4th ANNUAL SHREDDER DAY... Saturday, June 6th, 2009 | Another successful year for us where we shred paper for food raising cash and food for the Peachland Food Bank! Residents wanting to declutter their homes of unwanted and outdated papers attended our "Shredder Day" and munched on Tim Bits and enjoyed a cup of coffee courtesy of Terry and Barb Newman of our local Petro Canada. Each year local business people donate items and this year's lucky winners are:

| | 2008/2009 BURSARY RECIPIENTS AWARDS' EVENING... Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009 |  | Each year Roger W Cyr & Associates awards two, $250 bursaries to 2 graduating students of Mount Boucherie High School. This year's deserving recipients were Mark Cook and Taylar Maas of Peachland. The awards were presented to them by Roger Cyr at a ceremony held at Mount Boucherie High. | | PEACHLAND'S ANNUAL WORLD OF WHEELS... Sunday May 17th, 2009 | They came in droves this year and attendance was wa-a-a-y up for this popular annual show 'n shine of vintage cars. Downtown Peachland was packed and Mother Nature blessed the car show with clear, sunny skies! Since its popularity keeps on growing, the Cyr Team sponsored a double-decker bus to shuttle spectators to and from the car show grounds from Peachland Village Mall. We raised over $500 for our local food banks as generous "bus patrons" donated spare change as a thanks for the shuttle bus!
